About Us
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my website! I’m Leigh Ann, the owner and operator of Mother Clucker’s Mealworms. I’m a wife, mom, Gigi, and school teacher…and now mealworm farmer!
Mother Clucker’s Mealworms began life as Wonder Worm Woman Mealworms, a one-woman operation owned by Laura Gritman and based in Citra, Florida. Upon Laura’s impending retirement, she decided to sell her farm to someone who wanted to continue her passion for supplying healthy, high quality mealworms to the public. She shared her years of mealworm farming knowledge with me over several months, and the farm transformed into Mother Clucker’s, as it is known today. In addition, I have recently added superworms to my offerings!
Mother Clucker’s is located in the town of High Springs, Florida, just a short drive from Gainesville, home of the University of Florida. Go Gators! My family owns a small farm, and my small flock of spoiled rotten chickens are what led me to mealworm farming. I started with an all-in-one bin of mealworms that I purchased from Laura, intending to grow my own chicken treats, and found that I enjoyed seeing them multiply and grow. The rest is history!
My mealworms and superworms feed many different creatures, from wild birds and chickens to various reptiles and amphibians. Even some types of bats enjoy my mealworms! Whether you’re feeding a bearded dragon or gecko, chicken or bluebird, turtle or fish, Mother Clucker’s provides high quality mealworms and superworms.
As a small business owner, I appreciate your business! Thank you for visiting and reading my story.
